Ashton is the director of Utile Functional Health. He found his passion for health and fitness approximately 9 years ago, this started with callisthenics training in his garage with homemade weights and equipment. This progressed to traditional body building training at a traditional gym until he found CrossFit around 2014. It was shortly after this that he obtained his CrossFit level 1 training certification and since then he has completed his Cert III and Cert IV of Fitness (personal training). Since then Ashton has been training friends and himself on and off in different styles whenever time would permit around work. He has worked in several different industries in his life time but always came back to fitness, and finally given the opportunity to pursue a career in his passion for fitness he jumped at it. Ashton aims to provide strength and conditioning training to any person of all ages and fitness levels. He believes in thorough testing and tracking so that results can be easily observed, and injuries can be avoided or compensated for. Injury is an avoidable consequence of fitness training. Ashton participates in triathlons, obstacle course races, horse riding, long-distance bike rides, weights training, skydiving, and any exciting fitness event that comes his way.
